An ongoing investigation of various $exual encounters involving members of the department’s nightly shift resulted in the dismissal of five La Vergne police officers last week, a city spokesperson told WSMV 4. The same probe led to the unpaid suspension of three additional officers.
According to a disturbing investigative report obtained by WMSV 4 through a records request, the inquiry got underway on December 12 when Mayor Jason Cole informed the city’s human resources division about suspicions of the $exual acts.
