Is Twitter not working for you? Well, if yes, find solace in the fact that you aren’t alone. The micro blogging service is currently down for a lot of users, and we can confirm this as well.

Here’s a screenshot showing the ‘Tweets aren’t loading now’ notification that currently appears:

Neither the Twitter app nor the website (both Desktop and Mobile) are working currently. When you access the mobile site, you currently get ‘Your connection is not private’ or ‘This connection is not private’, or ‘This site can’t be reached’.

On desktop, the notification ‘Something went wrong’ is displayed.

There is currently no information as to how widespread this issue is (we are located in India), although some reports say it’s a worldwide outage. Plus, no details on how much time will it take for the company to fix the problem.

Rest assured, we are keeping a close tab and will update this story with any newsworthy development that we come across. Until then, feel free to share your thoughts and observations in the comments section below.

We can confirm Twitter is back up now.

Update 2 (December 17,2019)

We are now seeing a lot of reports on Down Detector (as service that reports info related to outages and similar issues) from Twitter users who say the service is down for them. Specifically, a lot of users say they are getting ‘Twitter is over capacity’ message. We are looking for more information, and will update the story as and when we have it.

Update 3 (August 28, 2021)

A lot of users reported that Twitter is down for them on downdetector.com for a short period of time. It seems the outage was limited to India and now Twitter is back up again.

We will update this with new information when something comes up so stay tuned.

Update 3 (February 14, 2022)

03:20 pm (IST): Twitter is down again or not working for many users across the globe. Reports on Downdector shows that most reports are from website users, while some app users are also having issues.

05:19 pm (IST): User reports on Downtector now suggest that the issue with Twitter has been resolved.

Update 4 (March 09, 2022)

06:10 pm (IST): Fresh user reports now suggest that Twitter is again down or not working for many users. Moreover, recent reports on Downdetector also confirm the same.

Update 5 (March 24, 2022)

04:55 pm (IST): Reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent outage with Twitter is seemingly fixed.

Update 6 (May 27, 2022)

12:31 pm (IST): Many users are now reporting that Twitter is currently down or not working for them. Unfortunately, the support team has not yet acknowledged the issue.

Update 7 (May 30, 2022)

07:03 pm (IST): It appears that the recent outage with Twitter has now been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh user reports on Downdetector.

Update 8 (June 14, 2022)

09:34 am (IST): Many users are now reporting on Downdetector that Twitter is currently down or not working for them. And most reported problems are from the website users.

07:10 pm (IST): Reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent issue with Twitter has now been resolved.

05:40 pm (IST): Many users are now reporting (1, 2) that Twitter is currently down or not working for them. Moreover, they are getting ‘Nothing to see here’ error message.

Update 10 (June 30, 2022)

05:56 pm (IST): It appears that the recent issue with ‘Nothing to see here’ error message has now been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh user reports (1, 2) on Twitter.

Update 11 (July 14, 2022)

05:44 pm (IST): Many users have taken to Downdetector to report that Twitter is currently down or not working for them.

Update 12 (July 15, 2022)

10:23 am (IST): Reports on Downdetector have now diminished which suggests that the recent outage with Twitter has been resolved.

Update 13 (November 4, 2022)

11:29 am (IST): Some users are now reporting (1, 2) that Twitter is currently down or not working in India.

07:13 pm (IST): The recent outage with Twitter appears to have resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports.

Update 14 (November 18, 2022)

12:15 pm (IST): Reports on Twitter and Downdetector suggest that Twitter recently experienced an outage. However, things appear to be stabilizing now.

Update 15 (December 09, 2022)

10:09 am (IST): According to fresh reports (1, 2), Twitter is currently down or not working for a section of users. Those affected say that their feed is not loading.
