An image from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was recently posted on 4chan, showing the game’s menu screen with some information about live service elements that have yet to be officially confirmed by Rocksteady Games.
As verified by VGC’s sources, the leak reveals the ability to choose your character, customize your appearance, and choose your own gear alongside the Battle Pass. You can also see various in-game currencies at the top, choose the level you want and play by yourself or match with others to experience the co-op mode.
According to information shared by a development resource with VGC, currencies are actually different types of XP that players can use to upgrade their character or unlock new skill tree items. On the other hand, the Battle Pass is said to contain only cosmetic items, including skins for Suicide Squad members.
An anonymous source told VGC, “You don’t start debuffed and weak. You just start out great and be ridiculous like Arkham Knight’s Batman.” It is unknown how far the game can expand on the ideas and features we experienced in Rocksteady’s latest game, Batman: Arkham Knight.
Unfortunately, the source hasn’t shared anything about the different game modes – you can see a Game Mode button on the left side of the screen – or the scale and depth of customizations and equipment in the game. While Rocksteady has already announced that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be a co-op experience, no details about the live service elements have been shared. Gotham Knights is also a co-op-focused experience but didn’t feature a Battle Pass at launch.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, which is scheduled for release in May 2023, has yet to receive full gameplay details. The newest trailer for Suicide Squad confirms that Kevin Conroy will reprise his role as Batman one last time following his death in November 2022.
